F.A.Q.

General

Regarding the name Curasept, the end of the word “Sept” comes from the origin of CURASEPT which was born with the anti-plaque (antiseptic) Chlorhexidine ADS, unique on the market, but today, with a wide range of products, the heart of the name remains the root Cura, which is a reflection of our mission: the root of our name is Cura, understood as daily presence and support for people and professionals. The goal of Curasept is to be there to support people and help them feel good about themselves. In the words of our CEO: “Why do we exist? Why do what we do? Every company needs to ask itself this question. What is our why? There is a value proposition behind our Brand: to accompany people day after day; to be next to each of them, to support them in all their oral health needs, for their safety and for their aesthetic appearance. So that they feel good about themselves.” Thank you for the interest you have shown in us. Further information about our company and its history is available in the section “about us.”

Products, formulations, and flavorings

The ADS line with DNA does not contain DNA in its entirety, the classic double helix, but fractions of sodium DNA. DNA is normally ingested by the body: all foods that contain cells (pasta, fruit, vegetables, etc.) contain DNA and it is normally ingested harmlessly while eating.

Studies have been conducted that guarantee the product is not absorbed by the body.

The ADS NEW System has been further enhanced to protect the natural whiteness of teeth, more effectively interfering with the three main mechanisms of pigmentation, helping to minimize its possible occurrence. This is thanks to the integration of NAC (N-Acetyl-Cysteine) in addition to Sodium Metabisulfite and Ascorbic Acid.

Anti Discoloration System (ADS) dramatically reduces pigmentation as it interferes with the chemical reactions that are responsible for pigmentation This is a patented system that increases patients’ adherence to treatment. It is effective as long as patients also follow other related guidelines (e.g., do not smoke, do not drink coffee, and do not consume pigmenting foods such as coffee and tea at least one hour after treatment (15 minutes with ADS NEW) and perform normal oral hygiene.

The sizes of the Curasept interdental brushes are 16 in total, from the smallest P06 to the largest T33 (with ISO 8 and the core is 3.3 mm). We recommend that you seek advice from your trusted professional to find the most suitable sizes for your needs.

The smallest size available in the Curasept Proxi Prevention line is 06. If in doubt, you can request a trial blister mix from the pharmacy.

If ingested in small quantities the product is not harmful; as per the package leaflet, the product should not be ingested.

Guidelines recommend using toothpastes containing fluoride. However, in this product, fluoride has not been included to ensure it is homeopathic-compatible. In fact, many believe that fluoride and mint cannot be used during homeopathic treatments.

Alcohol has been added to the formulation to improve its stability and preservation from bacterial pollutants. In fact, since the formulation is “BIO”, no preservatives can be used other than those permitted. However, the amount is minimal: the concentration of 96.5° alcohol in ECO BIO mouthwash is 1.8% w/w, so in a dose of mouthwash of about 10 ml the amount of alcohol will be < 0.18g. For comparison, the amount of alcohol in competing mouthwashes ranges from 23% to 11%.
Naturally, the alcohol used comes from organic farming and is permitted in the ICEA specification, to which we have submitted the formulation to be able to define it as BIO.

Curasept mouthwashes do not contain alcohol, except for Curasept Ecobio mouthwash.

No contraindications have been identified for the use of MOUSSE Biosmalto during pregnancy. However, we recommend that you always refer to your care professional. This is a medical device, read the package leaflet carefully.

Curasept products do not contain lactose with the exception of the products that contain Colostrum, i.e. the Curasept ADS/DNA Protective Treatment line, and Curasept Prevent. Nonetheless, we cannot exclude the presence of it a priori in every batch and therefore cannot certify these products as lactose-free and suitable for users with intolerances.

Curasept products are NOT tested on animals.

Our generalized tests on the products have shown a percentage of gluten lower than 5 mg/kg, both in the finished product and in the raw material. Nonetheless, we cannot exclude the presence of it a priori in every batch and therefore cannot certify these products as gluten-free and suitable for users with intolerances.

Issues & needs

Dental floss and interdental brushes are both necessary to properly clean the interdental spaces (contact points and interproximal). In any case, we recommend that you seek help from your trusted professional in selecting the most suitable interdental brush size. In the meantime, you can experiment with the special Mix pack which contains 5 interdental brushes of different sizes.

The products of the line Curasept Protection Booster are ideal for daily oral hygiene. Furthermore, the Essential Oils present in mouthwashes are able to prevent bacterial aggregation and slow the growth of oral biofilm. They help prevent gum inflammation, assist in the daily mechanical control of plaque and fight bad breath.

he Prevent supplement contains Kluyveromyces marxianus fragilis B0399, a yeast that acts against sulphur compounds responsible for bad breath.

The Curasept page cannot provide medical assistance and for any diagnosis and advice in this regard we recommend that you contact your trusted specialist.
