CURASEPT 4 STUDENTS

With the Curasept 4 Students project in 2023 we aim to enhance the value of students and postgraduates through four interviews with leading specialists in the dental field who make a difference in education and who engage daily with the university environment, research, and the challenges of the post-graduate journey.

Each of them is committed to “taking care” of young professionals every day. Through their testimonies, we discover the beauty inherent in passing on skills, as well as passion and values such as curiosity, resilience and kindness, qualities that make a difference in both professional practice and patients’ lives.

Each with their own style and distinctive approach, the four key figures of Curasept 4 Students share common traits . These are the same qualities that we at Curasept seek and recognize as fundamental values in our daily work and in the professionals we collaborate with:

  • Relentless curiosity that drives exploration, discovery, and innovation, leading to real change;
  • A desire for self-improvement, even through small daily actions and changes;
  • Recognition of patience and waiting as essential to achieving successful results (as demonstrated by the seven-year research process behind the innovation of Curasept Biosmalto!);
  • Active listening: patients, students, and professionals have much to share, and their words can guide us toward the needs of the future;
  • Care for the smile, recognized as the first step in human connection;
  • Kindness and care for others, expressed through attention, empathy, and knowledge-sharing.

The four protagonists share their stories in a video miniseries, showcasing different journeys of dedication and kindness, along with advice for those beginning to explore the world of Oral Care.

THE VIDEO STORIES

Umberto Luciano

As a child, he dreamed of becoming an archaeologist or working for WWF. As an adult, in 2012, he graduated in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics from the University of Verona.

But perhaps those childhood passions never truly faded: Umberto continued his studies, earning a specialization and a doctorate. In a way, he still plays the role of an “explorer” through his research activities, while also channeling his attention and care for others into teaching as a university professor.

His goal is to pass on knowledge and skills, but above all, passion: the value that, for him, means everything, as it makes you reflect and guides you toward continuous improvement. Even better if you can find a mentor to follow, someone who can help you discover your own path.

Giulia Sabatino

Graduated in Dental Hygiene, Giulia Sabatino not only works in the prevention department of several dental practices she collaborates with but has also become a spokesperson for newly graduated students looking to enter the job market. She does this through her social media page, “Giulia vita da Igienista,” and through the InfluDenters Academy project, the first course in Italy for students and recent graduates in Dental Hygiene.

Being a good mentor is essential for Giulia: it takes time to listen and to wait for students to achieve their results, each at their own pace. How can one become more self-confident? Giulia teaches them how to “step into the profession on the right foot”, offering advice on writing a CV, when and how to look for a job, and how to set up a freelance career.

In short, she helps them take their first steps into the working world. Her key to success? Never stop exploring and choosing the right partners to do so.

Francesca Gelmini

Francesca Gelmini is the coordinator of the Clinical Specialist team at Curasept.

During her student years, she was always extremely curious and eager—she couldn’t wait to step into the professional world! Perhaps these very traits still drive her today, pushing her to challenge herself while leading a cohesive team focused on continuous improvement.

However, through her work, Francesca has also learned the importance of patience—understanding that some results take time to achieve.

Now that she finds herself “on the other side of the desk,” she works every day alongside all the specialists to pass on not only skills but also the values of care, kindness, and professionalism, qualities that Curasept actively seeks in the professionals it collaborates with daily.

In particular, the Managers of each Function provide their contribution so that the suggested improvements can be proposed to the General Direction, so that the Quality Policy can be a priority element in the choice of business qualitative and organizational strategies.

The involvement of the whole personnel in the improvement of internal and external processes should be aimed at reducing non-compliance and internal and external costs of non-quality; for this reason all employees should feel themselves committed in pursuing this policy.
